New 2017 Cadenza Safety Features Earn Top Safety Pick Plus Rating

The new Kia Cadenza was recently named a Top Safety Pick+ award winner from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) thanks to some innovative advancements and smart design. The IIHS gives this prestigious award once every year in order to help consumers find the vehicles that have the best safety features. If safety is a priority for you, the new Cadenza is the perfect option.

According to Kia, the IIHS makes decisions about Top Safety Pick+ award winners based on crash-test ratings in several areas including small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side impact, roof strength, and head restraints. Vehicles must receive a “good” rating in each of these categories in order to earn the award—and the Cadenza passed with flying colors.

“The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is one of the most respected organizations in the industry when it comes to evaluating vehicle safety, and this designation is a great achievement that speaks to Kia’s commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement,” said Orth Hedrick, a VP at Kia. “We are proud that the Cadenza received across-the-board good crashworthiness ratings, which is another testament to the efforts of our engineers and the integrity of our vehicles.”

The 2017 Cadenza safety features include things like Blind Spot Detection, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. These optional safety systems are among the many new driver assistance features offered on new Kia vehicles, helping drivers and passengers to stay better connected than ever before.
