In late January 2020, U.S. News & World Report announced the winners of the annual “Best Car for the Money” awards at the Washington Auto Show. Though it was no surprise to our team here at Evansville, Kia took home four awards honoring the superior value of several vehicles from the lineup.
With four total honors across different vehicle classes, Kia won more 2020 “Best Car for the Money” awards than any other automaker. The winners are chosen by U.S. News & World Report based on how well they perform in terms of value and quality. A vehicle’s value is calculated based on a combination of sticker and ownership costs over five years, while a vehicle’s quality is measured in accordance with the U.S. News & World Report Best Car Rankings list.
The Kia Soul, Sorento, Forte, and Sedona won “Best Car for the Money” awards in the following categories respectively: subcompact SUV, three-row SUV, compact car, and minivan. “In each category that Kia won, the model not only represented a great value in terms of price and ownership costs, but also in terms of providing a top-notch ownership experience,” said executive editor of U.S. News.
