If you’ve been shopping around for a new vehicle here at Evansville Kia, odds are you’ve seen some that are equipped with something called Kia DRIVE WiSE. Just in case you’re not intimately familiar with the technology, we thought we’d give you a quick rundown of the system.

Kia DRIVE WiSE is the automaker’s proprietary suite of advanced driver assistance and safety features. By combining an array of cameras, and radar, your Kia can keep you centered in your lane, alert you to a potential accident, and keep you at a safe following distance when using cruise control.

Here are the systems included in Kia DRIVE WiSE:

Lane Keeping Assist – When you’re on the highway, this technology will use radar and cameras to detect lane markings and delicately correct your steering to make sure you don’t drift to either side.

Blind Spot Detection– If another car is in your blind spot while you prepare to change lanes, this system will alert you to its presence.

Forward Collision Warning – When an obstacle (such as a pedestrian) moves in front of your Kia, it will sound an alarm so you can prevent an accident.

Smart Cruise Control – After activating cruise Control, SCC will automatically adjust your speed to keep you at a safe following distance. To learn more about which models come equipped with Kia DRIVE WiSE, don’t hesitate to give us a call at Evansville Kia.
